Guest guest
I'm glad this book was mentioned today, as I was considering getting it. Would you recommend it for families who are GF for reasons OTHER than autism, or does it really only focus on that? My daughter is not autistic--she has several other neurological problems. Lisa Lewis discusses autism, but her books also apply to others as well, and the diet in general. That's why I like her. That, and the fact that although she is highly educated, she doesn't talk down to parents or use words a run of the mill mommy can't understand! Is this book " Children With Starving Brains " too " intellectual " or scientific, do you think? Are there any others that are recommended? Guest guest
I would say if you are going to be learning about Bio-medical interventions for Children with Autism, the diet and supplements. This is THE book. In fact, I call it my Bible and won't allow anyone to borrow it for fear that I may need to go to it to learn about something specific again. - jennifer twining Monday, May 09, 2005 9:08 AM Book: Children With Starving Brains: Recommended? I am going to start the CFGF diet soon. Does anyone else out there recommend this as THE companion book? Mail Mobile Take Mail with you! Guest guest
Jennifer, it would not be the first book I recommend, but it does have some very helpful information. I would certainly encourage you to read it BUT be prepared to become a scientist if you aren't already. BL Book: Children With Starving Brains: Recommended? I am going to start the CFGF diet soon.
