Guest guest Posted October 21, 2004 Report Share Posted October 21, 2004 Fresh Rhubarb Sauce Source: Total Health 8 cups fresh rhubarb, cut into 1/2-inch chunks 1 - 20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained (reserve juice) 4 tsp. liquid sweetener of choice (maple syrup; agave syrup; Mystic Lakes Sweetener; etc.) Bring rhubarb and pineapple juice to boil in saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 20 minutes, or until tender. Remove from heat, add remaining ingredients anbd chill. Serves: 8 For Strawberry-Rhubarb Sauce: Add 4 cups chopped strawberries and 2 t. additional sweetener when adding remaining ingredients. " I send you love and good dishes --- from my house to yours!
