Guest guest
I think the brand 'quorn' makes a nugget thing, both breaded (with wheat) and unbreaded (no wheat). apparently quorn is a mushroom-type deal. Yes, 'quorn' is gluten free, but I don't believe it's vegan (eggs). My husband tried it (he's gluten free) and it made him sick, so beware. It's very dense and something in it did not agree with him at all. Frieda's makes a vegan and gluten free soy chorizo that is pretty good, and sometimes it's possible to find gluten-free hot dogs in health food stores (it's sporadic; most brands contain gluten). Guest guest
it's not vegan? oops! that's what I get for mentioning something I've never tried. the idea of a " vat grown fungus " kind of freaks me out also, but apparently some people love it as a meat substitute. Guest guest
Yes, but as I understand it, quorn products contain egg. Guest guest
Here's the URL for Sol Cuisine's products. They look interesting. I've never heard of them before, but they have a nice variety and certainly claim to be gluten free. Thanks for sharing this, Robin.
