Guest guest
Thank you for responding, Unfortunately, there are a lot of restrictions on importing into the country where I live. And not a significant Asian population. I have found rice noodles before. The price is usually one small package (you know the one in the store in the us for 99 cents or so at international stores), for the equivalent of 6-8 kilos(kilo equals 2.2 pounds) of rice here. It is very expensive. This is as far as imports we have found in this matter. I have called the chinese restaurant. They get the same prices we do!!! I am going to be moving soon, and I've heard there is no rice flour there, so I'll be grinding also. What there may be access to, is cornmeal and masa harina. My husband is Colombian, and I make arrepas if we could get some masa harina. I couldn't find good quality corn to make it from scratch with. BTW, if I find some oats from australia or ireland, are they grown with wheat in either place? Thanks, Sue
