this is not a recipe.. but a recall of some vegie food that contained eggs..

I to the FOOD ALLERGY & ANAPHYLAXIS NETWORK because i am

alergic to nuts... and i just recieved this email this morning about

a company recalling some of their food because it contains eggs...

since theres lots of vegans on this list i thought i'd send it out.

 

EGG ALLERGY ALERT

May 6, 2005

 

YTS Group Inc. is recalling 352 cases of Veggie Golden Roast, 360

cases of Veggie Smoked Duck, 151 cases of Vegetarian Steamboat

Flavoring, 66 cases of Vegetarian smoked Drum Stick, 416 cases of

Vegetarian Lamb, 972 cases of Liang Zen Golden Ham, 563 cases of

Veggie Golden Ham, 174 cases of Mushroom Cake, 37 cases of New

Century Veggie, and 75 cases of Curry Veggie Ham due to undeclared

egg.

 

The recalled products were distributed nationwide in retail stores,

specifically in California, Minnesota, New York, Utah, and

Washington, as well as in Canada.

 

The recalled products come frozen in clear plastic 2.2-lb, 1-lb., 12-

oz., and 10-oz. packages. The products bear identifying yellow labels

under the brand names YTS VEGGIE FOOD or YTS PRODUCTS, or with

identifying green labels under the KIMBO brand name, and have an

expiration date from 4/27/04 to 4/27/05, which is stamped in black

ink at the bottom of the package.

 

Consumers who have purchased the products should return them to the

place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions should
