Guest guest Posted November 23, 2004 Report Share Posted November 23, 2004 Cranberry-Garlic Chutney 1 (1-inch) cube fresh ginger 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup sugar (Florida Crystals) 3 garlic cloves, minced 1 jalapeno pepper 1 (16 oz)can jellied cranberry sauce 1/2 teaspoon salt freshly ground pepper Cut the ginger into paper-thin slices, then cut into very thin slivers. In a small saucepan combine the ginger, vinegar,sugar, garlic, and jalapeno; bring to a simmer. Cook over medium heat until there is about 1/4 cup liquid left,excluding the solids. Stir in the cranberry sauce, salt and pepper to taste; bring to a simmer. The sauce will be a little lumpy, but thats fine. " I send you love and good dishes --- from my house to yours!
