Guest guest Posted November 22, 2004 Report Share Posted November 22, 2004 Baked Herbed Tofu Source: plant eggplant list 1 package firm or extra-firm regular Tofu, fresh or frozen & thawed 1/4 cup Bragg's liquid aminos 1 Tbs mild oil 1 tsp agave syrup or maple syrup 1/8 tsp ginger powder (or 1/4 tsp grated fresh) 1 Tbs dried mixed herbs (fines herbes, etc) 1/4 cup cornflake crumbs (gluten free) Mix liquid ingredients in a ziplock bag. Mix dry ingredients (except Tofu) in another ziplock bag. Cut tofu into 1 " -thick slices. Put slices into liquid ingredient bag. Shake to coat. Put slices into dry ingredient bag. Shake to coat. Put Tofu on a sprayed baking sheet. Bake at 350 F for 15 minutes. Turn, and bake 15 minutes longer, or to desired texture. (Longer cooking makes it chewier.)
