ANOTHER LATE-BREAKING SUCCESS TO REPORT: SUAREZ SIX SEIZED!

After tremendous pressure from thousands of animal advocates, humane

organizations, and members of Congress, the Suarez Six polar bears will

finally receive sanctuary. The bears languished for well over a year in

the Caribbean heat of Puerto Rico before US Fish and Wildlife Service

agents took action on Tuesday (11/5). Federal marshals are now guarding

the bears, reported to be in appalling condition, until they can be

transferred to the Detroit Zoo. Congratulations to all who helped these

bears!
