Guest guest
I am sure there is an easy recipe here somewhere - but I'd really appreciate a SIMPLE recipe for a carob gluten free cake that children would like. We need to master it before the birthdays start in our family. We want to do a totally vegan kids party this summer but know some very fussy children - 'cheese or chocolate-only' types! The cake has to be GOOD! And I need to be able to bake it! Please - no brand names as we probably don't get them here where I live - countryside in rural Lincolnshire, UK. Lots of fields of potatoes and cabbages - might even consider a cabbage cake.... Please help me! This might seem an odd request to those of you who were born with a spatula in your mouth, but I mean it :-) Susanna

Susanna, I was going to send my favorite from our files section (The Amazing Eggless Dairy Free Carob Cake --- that's also gluten free), but when I went to copy it for you, I discovered we have SIX carob cake recipes in our files that will fit your criteria. So instead, I will send you the link. If the link doesn't work because it's too long. . .go to 'files' and then click on the first line where it has the VGF Recipes. Then, look for 'cookies, cakes, and confectionary' --- follow the thread --- and click there. %2A%2A%2ARecipes%20Pos\ ted%20to%20VGF%2A%2A%2A/Cookies%2C%20Cakes%20and%20Confectionery/Cakes%20and%20F\ rostings/%20Chocolate%20and%20Carob/ The Amazing Eggless cake is delicious and truely amazing! I've made it in both the chocolate and carob versions and both are delicious! LaDonna PS: If you find a cabbage cake. . .I'd love the recipe! I recall making a tomato soup cake once. . .so cabbage cake sounds just fine to me!
