Guest guest
-Good Luck with your vegan-lifestyle...and your essay work! Ive been vegan since 1986 and have felt so much better being 'animal-free', and recently found that there are a world of vegans out there since getting 'on-line'. Great for advice and support....especially the Vegan Society, who are most helpful and offer advice on most issues.-- In , " nahgem62 " <Sgem62@a...> wrote: > Hello everyone, I'm new to this group. Guest guest
Meghan, Hello! Hmmm..... Not quite sure what is in the links page but I recommend reading John Robbins. He is what fully turned me around. A friend of mine, on this group actually, explained veganism to me, then recommend I read Robbin's and BAM that was it. Turned away from animal products in a heartbeat and never want to look back. After that I just started researching foods and their nutritional content on the web and in the library to insure that I was getting all the nutrients I needed to stay healthy. Congrats on yer decision no matter what got you here! It's how you truly feel that counts! nikki , " nahgem62 " <Sgem62@a...> wrote: > Hello everyone, I'm new to this group. Guest guest
"Vegan stories" might be a book you might find interesting for an essay, as it has, I think about 84 different stories from different people who became vegan. you can find out about the book from "The Vegan society" regards Simon Original Message ----- nahgem62 Thursday, October 03, 2002 7:18 PM I'm new...vegan for almost 7 months Hello everyone, I'm new to this group. I have been a vegan for about seven months now and I love it. I feel so much better about myself and I don't have to feel guilty about eating animals or contributing to their sufferings anymore. I've always been an animal lover but I always felt like a hypocrite because I wasn't vegetarian or vegan. I became vegetarian about 8 months ago and when I began reading about my favorite actor, River Phoenix, I found out that he was vegan and I was intrigued. I then began looking up information about the vegan lifestyle and decided that it was exactly what I needed to be a happier and healthier person. I do feel kind of stupid thought when people ask me why I became vegan and I start off by saying, "Well, my favorite actor River Phoenix....." etc. I mean, he's not the reason I am vegan, but I began learning about it because I was reading about him. Anyway, I'm writing a fifteen page research paper for my effective writing class about the vegan lifestyle. So if anyone knows of any good books or websites beside the ones that are on the links page, it would be really great if you would reply and let me know. ~MeghanTo send an email to -
