Shoshannah, not all these foods are gluten free. I picked out a few of the

ones that are not, and others may identify more. The ones I see on this

list that are NOT gluten free are:

Barley & barley flour

Bulgur, bulgur flour (this is so good)

Couscous

Durum wheat flour

Graham flour

Kamut

Oat flour, oat bran & oatmeal

Rye flour

Soba noodles (only gluten free if it's made completely from buckwheat flour;

most are not, but have wheat flour in them)

Spelt flour, spelt noodles

Sprouted wheat flour, bread (Ezekeil-sp? is the best one)

Hope this helps.

This list is correct, in that all these foods should be avoided in a gluten free

diet:

You want to avoid the following:

Cream of Wheat, wheatena

Familia

Farina

Flour: white, whole wheat

Granola

Grape nuts

Pasta: semolina, spinach

Wheat germ

Seven grain

Shredded wheat

Wheat bran,

She is telling you a wheat free diet not a gluten free diet Shoshannah. You are

correct.

Barley, bulgur, couscous, durum wheat, graham (not gram which is a pea flour),

rye and oat are all off limits to you.

This lady seems as if she might be a type A blood type, like me, but I do not

think she understands gluten free.

Hi Shoshanah,

I have been on the bloodtype diet for many years and yes you must exclude the

gluten foods, however, I will say that the other foods that are not gluten your

body will thrive on. I have tried since going gluten free to put a few of the

no's like tomatoes back in my diet and it did not work, I still must stay away

from tomatoes..LOL...anyhow, not sure what your bloodtype is, mine is B and I

have found that the highly beneficial foods are so healing and make you feel

very balanced when eaten regularly.

go to dadamo.com and check out the bloodtype data to find the friendly foods for

your bloodtype and just exclude the gluten foods. There are some on the diet

who cannot have gluten who avoid it. = )

Quiona, millet, rice and corn should be the only grains that are gf friendly so

if they are on your list you should be able to eat them. I am not real sure

about amaranth but I believe it is gluten.

incorrect gluten free food list

I need your help!!! Someone from one of my weight loss surgery listserves

says she follows a gluten free diet because of her blood type and a book about

blood types and dieting. She send me the following list and said I could eat

all these foods on the first list. It is my understanding that most of

these foods are off-limits for me.

Please let me know what is correct.
