Guest guest
------- Island Breeze 2pts Through the years, I've often been asked if one can juice a pomegranate. You can juice or blend the seeds, but the white membrane has a very bitter taste and should be removed. Pomegranate blends in interesting flavor with the sweet mango. Mango is a good source of beta-carotene, or provitamin A, a precursor from which your body can make vitamin A. Beta-carotene is a very susceptible to oxidation ( a result of exposure to light and air) so drink your caroteen-rich smoothie right after you make it. 1 ripe mango, peeled and cut in chunks from the pit 3/4 cup pomegranate seeds ( remove all membranes) If you do not have a pomegranate for this recipe, blend in the same amount of diced pineapple or orange 6 ice cubes Put all ingredients in blender and blend on high until smooth. Serve Immediately. Serves 2. Serving size 8.6 oz each serving 2 pts *
