Guest guest Posted December 5, 2004 Report Share Posted December 5, 2004 Carob Pie 2 Tbsp. agar agar flakes 3/4 cup water 1 cup raw cashews 1 cup water 1 1/2 cups dairy-free milk of choice 1/2 cup liquid sweetener of choice 2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup carob powder 1/2 tsp. coffee flavoring (Bickfords is alcohol free; water based)* 1/3 cup dairy-free milk powder Soak agar agar flakes and 3/4 cup water in a small saucepan for five minutes. In a blender, blend cashews and one cup of water until creamy. Add dairy-free milk, liquid sweetener, vanilla, salt, carob powder, coffee flavoring, and dairy-free milk powder. Blend again. Bring agar agar flakes to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Add to blender mixture and blend quickly. Pour in a baked pie crust of choice and set in refrigerator for about 2 hours. *May use coffee substitute made from roasted grains if desired " I send you love and good dishes --- from my house to yours!
