Berry Delicious 6 pts

 

Raw cashews help thicken smoothies and are a good alternative to yogurt

or tofu. Cashews are rich in magnesium, a mineral that has been shown

to help lower blood pressure. Fruits and vegetables in general have

shown positive effects in lowering blood pressure.

 

1/2 cup apple juice ( 1 apple juiced)

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries, rinsed if fresh

1/2 cup unsalted cashews ( raw cashews taste best)

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

6 ice cubes

 

Pour the apple juice into blender and add the blueberries, cashews,

vanilla, and ice cubes. Blend on high speed until smooth and serve

immediately.

 

serves 2, serving size 8.3 oz each worth 6 pts
