Guest guest
Question: Isn't this list vegan, as well as gluten free? Isn't butter a dairy product, or do I have this wrong? Guest guest
Hi Lynn, Yes, you are correct. We are a " vegan " and a " gluten free " list. Instead of butter, a non-dairy substitute should be used for a " vegan and gluten free " product. Thanks for checking. LaDonna Question: Isn't this list vegan, as well as gluten free? Guest guest
Hi Lynn, I just say butter for any kind of spread.I also say milk without feeling the need to say soya milk. Do you not feel able to follow a recipe by substituting vegan marge for butter? I usually use a spread called Pure which I buy from Asda and I find that it replaces butter in any recipe with no problems. I suppose the thing with me is that I live with my non-vegan, non GF girlfriend so I just say " do you want butter on that? " or " do want a drop of milk in that? " because I can't be bothered to differentiate between two things that she is equally uninterested in. I was also finding that constantly refering to " special " foods was attention seeking, especially in public and that it was just irritating to others. I did realise that this is a vegan site though - there's a clue in the title and that's kind of why I joined in the first place LOL!
