Guest guest
Indian Rice From Wikibooks website 2 teaspoons of olive oil 1 teaspoon of cumin 1/2 cup of raisins 1/4 cup of cashews 2 cups of basmati rice 4 cups of water 0. Read all the instructions before making the recipe. 1. Heat the olive oil. 2. Once the oil is heated, add the cumin, followed by the raisins and cashew nuts. 3. Saute for two minutes. 4. Add the rice, and saute for another minute. 5. Add water. 6. Briefly boil everything. 7. Lower the heat and cook everything for 12 minutes, keeping it covered. This makes an excellent side dish, and goes well with a large variety of things, from spicy eggplant to tofu to potatoes in coconut sauce, etc.
