Hi Becky,Congratulations and thanks for your post, it's very inspiring!

Please share how you cut out dairy and got the cheese monkey off your back.

That monkey is keeping me from vegan!

Thanks,

Karen

This is great news Becky and thank you for sharing what has been working for you

and how you are feeling better.

We all need to hear successes as well as support one another when we fall short

of our goals, etc.

Yay you!! :-)

I am also having some success after making some changes. I had been

working out steadily three or four days per week since May. I got

toned and my clothes fit better, but I didn't lose weight.

I've now cut out dairy (I had a monkey on my back in the form of a

cheese fixation), drink plenty of water and other than that I eat when

I'm hungry (5 or 6 times per day, veggies, fruit, grains, beans, nuts,

seeds). Also, instead of working out three or four days for an hour I

work out four or five days for about 30-40 minutes. I've lost three

pounds since I weighed myself on the first of January and I can feel my

shape changing and I swear I can feel my metabolism revving up. My

face looks thinner, my skin is clearer and I feel better.

Another thing that may be helping - I started taking L-tryptophan a

couple of weeks ago and I think it helps calm my food fixation. I tend

to overeat at night when I'm not distracted by work, and I think eating

until stuffed has a sedative effect on my mind and body. However, the

L-tryptophan also has a mild sedative effect, and I think it's working,

along with eliminating the animal fat.

Sorry for the long post guys, but as you can see, I'm really excited

about this!

Where did you get the l-tryptophan?  GNC?  I have a similar night-time eating

problem.  I am super super busy all day and in the evening, I eat to fill a void

and to keep my hands and mouth busy :(  I would love to find something that can

assist me and I don't want to use the man-made chemicals in items like Dexatrim.

Thanks,

Cassie
