V (Pumpkin Flan) Philipine style

Vegan Kalabasa Flan

 

Ingredients

 

2 cups kalabasa or pumpkin, cubed

Egg substitute equal to three eggs

1 cup Almond milk or soy milk (use brand that does not have carnogenan as an

ingredient)

1/2 teaspoon fresh grated lime peel

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

----

 

Brown Rice syrup

 

 

Directions

Steam the pumpkin pieces. When soft mash or puree in a food processor till

smooth and free of 'lumps'.

 

Add all ingredients except sugar. Strain.

 

On the empty stainless steel or pottery style mold (not aluminum) rub the inside

with the Brown Rice Syrup. Place the squash mixture into the mold and steam for

about 20 minutes.
