Guest guest Posted April 20, 2005 Report Share Posted April 20, 2005 Tofu-Millet Burgers Source: Vegetarian for Life 1 (454 g.) medium/firm tofu 1 medium onion, chopped 2 cups quinoa flakes 1/2 tsp. sea salt 1/2 cup millet cooked in 2 cups water until soft 1/2 cup pecans, ground 1 tsp. poultry seasoning 1 Tbsp. vegan beef-like seasoning (Bill's Best) 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1 Tbsp. nutritional yeast flakes 2 Tbsp. Bragg's liquid aminos Blend tofu until smooth. Pour into a mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Drop by tablespoonfuls on a preheated non- stick skillet. Form into shape of a burger. Fry both sides of burger until golden brown. Serve warm on a gf bun with lettuce and tomato. Note: To make a perfect shaped burger, form by placing a wide-mouth jar lid on the skillet.
