Guest guest Posted June 22, 2004 Report Share Posted June 22, 2004 Mint Lovers Tea 8 cups water 1 1/2 cups loosely packed fresh mint leaves, minced 3 Tablespoons loose gunpowder tea 5 mint herb tea bags 1/4 cup plus 1 Tablespoon lime juice 1/4 cup plus 1 Tablespoon honey (or vegan alternative such as agave syrup, liquid stevia, or maple syrup) Mint ice cubes Fresh mint sprigs(optional) Bring water to a boil; pour over mint leaves, loose tea, and tea bags.Cover and steep 10 minutes.Strain mixture, discarding mint leaves, loose tea, and tea bags. Add lime juice and honey to tea; stir mixture well. Cover and chill thoroughly. Serve tea over Mint Ice Cubes. Garnish each serving with mint leaves,if desired. Mint Ice Cubes 4 cups water 2 cups loosely packed fresh mint leaves,crushed Bring water to boil, and pour over mint leaves. Cover and let stand 10 mins. Strain mixture,discarding mint leaves. let cool completely. Pour liquid into each of 28 ice cube tray compartments; freeze until firm. Yield 28 ice cubes.
