Guest guest Posted April 20, 2005 Report Share Posted April 20, 2005 Bean Spread Source: Vegetarian for Life 2 cups cooked kidney beans 3/4 cup celery, finely chopped 1/2 tsp. sea salt 3/4 tsp. onion powder 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped Option: 1/4 cup grated soy cheese 2/3 cup vegan mayonnaise (like Nasoya or Vegannaise) Mash or place the cooked kidney beans in a food processor. Make as smooth as possible. Mix in remaining ingredients. Cover the bowl and place in fridge. This makes a delicious sandwich spread, or use on crackers.
