Guest guest
Frances Mehner's Cashew Gravy 1 1/2 cup raw cashews, washed well 3 cups water place in blender celery seed, cover the water 1 tsp. or more onion powder or onion salt 1 tsp. or more garlic powder or garlic salt 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste 1 medium lemon squeezed Mix together on high speed for at least a minute or longer . (If you don't blend long enough it has a gritty texture.) Place in sauce pan and bring to boil, stirring constantly. (It burns quickly if you don't stir constantly) It will thicken just as it comes to a boil Remove from heat and serve hot. Excellent over baked potatoes, " meat " loaves, veggies, etc. If you have any leftovers, after cooling it's excellent on bread. Or pour hot over toast.
