Guest guest Posted April 20, 2005 Report Share Posted April 20, 2005 Baked Brown Rice 1 cup brown rice, uncooked 2 1/2 cups water, boiling 1/2 tsp. salt Toast rice in a cast iron skillet over medium heat stirring frequently until rice is a light golden brown. Bring water to a boil. Transfer rice to 1 quart casserole dish. Stir in water and salt. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
