Guest guest
Here's what I served this year: Millet loaf (tastes like stuffing but with a whole grain-yum!) gravy twice baked potatoes homemade bread rolls (gf and wheat rolls too) pineapple jello (both jello's are vegan and unsweetened) grape jello ( my family dislikes anything with cranberry but they requested grape) sweet potato dish (this year it had orange juice, pineapple and pecans in it) green beans peas corn green leafy salad I think that was everything for dinner. Normally I make mashed potatoes but my kids begged for the twice baked kind. I also usually just bake sweet potatoes but decided to try something different. For dessert we had pumpkin pie. I also made banana cream parfaits. We also make fudge for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I make it ahead of time and we put it in the freezer and just pull out a bit at each holiday. The problem I have is with whipped cream. I cannot find a recipe for a vegan whipped cream that my family likes. I had them try the Benton Sisters recipe ahead of time and they didn't like it. It looked more like whip cream than the other recipes I tried. I ended up trying 5 other recipes and got thumbs down on all of them. Ughh! I hope I didn't forget anything. Have a great day!!
