Sweet Rice Dumpling Wrappers

Usually dim sum is steamed, fried or boiled in soup like won tons. I've

never made dim sum with rice wrappers but I assume that you can cook them in

all the usual ways. I'm still looking for my dim sum recipes. Hopefully I

didn't throw them away in despair...

I think you could use whatever sounds good to you: sweet red bean

paste (homemade if necessary), sauteed mushrooms, finely chopped leeks

sauteed with some sweet peppers, a dab of lotus root, etc.

 

I would probably steam them in a bamboo steamer, myself.

soak and cook adzuki beans. add sweetener of your choice. mash it up,

adding any liquid you might need. you can add any flavors you might

like: sweet onion, almond, licorice, cherry, vanilla, etc.

I hope you didn't too, Rebekah. It would be interesting to help you convert

them to our specific dietary needs. There are many experienced VGF cooks on our

list!
