Guest guest
The ongoing riots between two communities on the reservation issue has taken a toll even on the wildlife of Rajasthan. Hundreds of rioters from the Gujjar community have cut down over 700 green trees in the Ranthambore National Park. Thousands of Gujjars are hiding in the rocky areas of the National Park from past 5 days, the major areas affected by them are Kushaalipura, Kotwaali and Khandaar region. The mad crowd has even set fire to hundreds of green trees in the forest. They are still burning more and more trees and have even burnt 3 forest department posts. The understaffed forest department seems helpless in front of the crowd and still no support and protection is provided by the State Government to them. The whole region near the Sawai Mansingh sanchuary, Bodal post, Shyopur triway is under control of the rioters. The birds and animals of the area are having a tough time due to this sudden infiltration by large number of roudy people in the forest. There is even a great threat to tigers as the chances of poaching are bright during such an un-rest. The worst part of the whole scenario is that the government and administration is taking no measures to save the precious wildlife heritage from these rioters.
