Good to see you Barbara - more to the point you have never had a Vegetarian

Dragon Pal before! (Hmm maybe I should start signing myself as VDP and wait for

people to go " What?! " )

I've done the same thing! I wanted to lose 15, now need to lose about 20 since

becoming veggie. I've enjoyed my rice and avocados too much!

If you read the label on the ICBINB spray carefully, it isn't actually zero, it

is > 1, which leads me to believe that if using more than a squirt or two, you

are probably getting fat & calories.

Hello from a new member,

I agree to track is the answer when a person is struggling.

I HAD 15# to lose but by eating really healthy foods, I managed to allow myself

to gain 5#, so now 20# is my goal. I was eating too much.

The tracking is now in place. I dragged out my old Weight Watcher paper work.

Has anyone used the " I can't believe It's Not Butter, " 0 Calorie spray?

If used as a sauté ingredient are there calories to count? I sautéed cubed tofu

in it yesterday. [Yummy] By using 3 tablespoons of the zero stuff, was it

actually zero?

I am looking forward to sharing recipes, with this group.

I will try to get my ingredient amounts in order.

I have cooked so long, that I am more of a " guesser, " than a measurer.

Enjoy your days.

PS: I think I have a lot of activities in common with The Dragon...gee, I've

never had a " dragon pal, " before!

It is still oil, and last I heard, hydrogenated oil, at that.

They are allowed to say it has no fat if there is less than .5 g of

fat per serving. Even if a product is 100% fat, if one serving is

less than half a gram, it is considered " fat free " . If you use one

spray, you are adding negligible amounts of fat to your food. If you

use 3 tablespoons of it, you are adding 3 tablespoons of fat to your

food!

Thanks for the replies about the O Cal spray...

I know I have been being delusional.

I knew this in my secret heart, but I wanted a miracle.

So the O spray in bulk, is history. I do love the taste.

After the last of it for spraying is gone, I will not buy it again. Waa!

Now to ideas for safe snacks.

This sounds a lot like safe sex, and I guess to our bodies having a safe snack

is using good sense as well.

Because of the craze over the Super Bowl [our Arizona, Phoenix Cardinals are

playing in it] food for the game, is something to plan for.

I loved the wieners in a blanket in my old life. Now with the reduced fat

crescent rolls and veggie hot dogs, they are available to bake. Not too terrible

in calories, if we don't eat a whole plate full.

Dipped in mustard, they are fairly " safe. "

Veggie chili is good and a big bowl of fresh veggies, should round out the game

time eating...toss some fresh fruit in a bowl...and we are ready to say: GO

Cardinals!

Good luck on our eating today!

Of course a dragon is likely to be vegetarian, but the comic books and video

games seem to differ! GRIN!
