Guest guest
I am looking for some good drinks for my husband. He has given up Soda Pop. and does not like juice. He says he is tired of water all the time. I suggested some herbal tea, but he is not a big tea drinker. Everything he suggests is either high in sugar or artifical sweetner. Does anyone have a good idea on this? Thanks Amy
Guest guest
Silk makes a 'no sugar added' soy milk. You can add your own vanilla or drink it as is. Veggie juices can be refreshing. Surprisingly, I add Genisoy ultra xt plain protein powder to my carrot based veggie juice mix and it tastes like a shake - IMHO. I have no financial interest in either of these products - just like them. Try squeezing some lime or lemon into water (still or sparkling). Guest guest
I don't drink soft drinks either - I get headaches from the aspertame (sp?) and I am not a big fan of juice. Aside from a lot of tea, sometimes I like to mix half mineral water and half orange juice - this does not too juicey and is very good. Also lemon or lime in water adds a nice flavor. hope this helps! Guest guest
it isn't that much better but there are natural soda pops available that are sweetened with raw sugar, no chemicals or high fructose. also, there are new lines of tea that has been made carbonated we sell at work. i work at wild oats, if you are interested in these i can look up the brand names and maybe the contents to see if you can use them. michelle Amy Lovelace <loveamy wrote: I am looking for some good drinks for my husband. Guest guest
Thank you for the information. We are trying to stay away from Carbination, as this helps with acidic systems, and we are trying to make my husbands system less acidic. Guest guest
I, too, am a fan of the " Spritzer " as my friends and I call them.... 1/2 or 3/4 soda water and some juice to liven things up (tart cherry or cranberry juice is my favorite.) Also, for a caffeine treat, try a shot of espresso with about 1/2 to 3/4 pint of soda water. Makes a fizzy, tastey coffee drink. It hasn't caught on over here, but I'm told the Italians are fond of it in summer. Bethany in Chicago
