Broccoli with Sesame Butter

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

1 pound broccoli florets

1/4 cup butter

4 teaspoons soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

 

1. Heat a small skillet over medium heat. Add sesame seeds and sauté until light

golden brown; stir constantly to prevent burning. Remove from skillet and set

aside.

 

2. In a steamer or covered saucepan with a steamer insert, steam broccoli until

tender-crisp.

 

3. While broccoli is steaming, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Add soy sauce and sesame oil and remove from heat.

 

4. Drain broccoli and place in a serving bowl. Pour butter sauce over broccoli

and toss to coat. Sprinkle broccoli with toasted sesame seeds and serve

immediately.

 

Servings: 4-6
