I'm Still Around

Just wanted to drop in and say that I am still around. I've just been super

duper busy.

 

Lost a total of 58lbs since my knee surgery.

 

Was part of the organizing team for the Toronto Humane Society protest on June

20th. Super day with an awesome turnout, even though the weather was foul. Had

around 250 people show up. You can learn more about what we are trying to

Took part in a visit to my friend, Sherry's, Pig Sanctuary. LAVA out of Guelph

decided to donate their proceeds from the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale to Ruby

Ranch Pig Sanctuary. We had an awesome day!

Then, attended the bakesale in Guelph yesterday and one of the pigs, Stormy, was

the guest of honour! I loved some people's response to seeing a pig in downtown

Guelph. People absolutely LOVED him, and he was such a hit with everyone.

Hopefully he touched people into giving up pork and maybe all meat. The sale

raised $682, and it was a super fun day again.

Now I am putting the finishing touches on my resume for a job posting for an

Animal Rights Advocate Part Time position that I would really like.  Hopefully I

will hear from them.

 

And, last but not least, I am quitting smoking - again.  I did it a couple of

years ago and managed not to smoke for over 9 months but started up again after

a moderate tough spot.  If anyone has any helpful tips, I am all ears.  Used the

patch the first time and am going to use it again.
