Guest guest
I have found a few recipe which simply ask for a " package " or " box " of tofu. Does anyone know what weight should these be ? Our Aussie ones vary. Kim
Guest guest
Well the " dessert " size one I have is 300 gr, Kim, does that help? BL
Guest guest
i have seen the refrigerated packages vary in size from 14 to 19 ounces. the boxes generally do not need refrigerating, and are 12.3 ounces (I think... ) =) at least that's what i've seen on both east & west coasts of the usa. =) jenni On Thursday, December 9, 2004, at 05:57 PM, Brenda-Lee Olson wrote: > Well the " dessert " size one I have is 300 gr, Kim, does that help? > > BL
Guest guest
Thanks Jenni and BL, Just confused things a little more - that gives me 3 different sizes to choose from :0 I have been adding some metric conversions to some recipes and a couple didn't give these measurements. -The recipe for Hoppin' Tofu Latkes asks for a block of regular tofu (my packages are 320g (just over 11oz)). -And the Beet Latkes for a box of silken (mine are 300g (10 1/2 oz)). Guest guest
It has been my experience that silken tofu comes in smaller packages. Dessert tofu is like silken but sweetened and flavoured. BL
