Guest guest
Hi there! This group makes my tummy happy! I'm trying to find a really yummy/non-crumble vegan and GF falafel recipe. I searched around in the files section, but didn't see one. Also, what is your favorite vegan cheese? I tried an almond cheese the other day and it was very, very yucky. Have any of you made your own cheese? (I really want some nachos :]) Thanks so much! Peace, Kim U
Guest guest
Hi Kim, The falafel recipes can be found in the " Mains " folder. Look under " Burgers, " Meatballs " , Patties, Sausages etc. " . There's 4 recipes in there. I haven't tried any of them as I always cheat and use a packet mix. For nachos I make " Melty Cheese " and put it in a squeezy sauce bottle then squeeze it all over. One warning though, homemade cheese from nutritional yeast can be an accquired taste. The recipe I use for melty cheese is here (I should get around to putting it in the Files, I suppose). http://www.gfcf.jassinc.com/melty_cheese.html There are several others in the files (under " Dairy Alternatives " ). If you try any of the recipes, let us know how they go. We have so many recipes and it's good to know which ones are really good. Guest guest
I love the Follow Your Heart cheeses. It says it melts, but I beg to differ. Anyway, I made nachos last night with it and they were SO good! Even my carnivorious husband ate them up! ~C --- Kim <kimbo wrote: > Hi there! > > This group makes my tummy happy! > > I'm trying to find a really yummy/non-crumble vegan > and GF falafel > recipe. Guest guest
I also use the follow you heart cheeses (Vegan Gourmet), they don't melt while baking but at the end of baking I turn on the broiler and it melts beautifully!! Casseroles, pizza, nachos, whatever your baking, it does work. And it's delicious too!!! Robin. , catie vasquez <anechr wrote: > > I love the Follow Your Heart cheeses. Guest guest
I wasn't familiar with them either, so I did a search online...and came across a website that had them, and listed ingredients, nutritional info. Google " follow your heart cheese " and you should find some information.
