Guest guest Posted April 21, 2005 Report Share Posted April 21, 2005 Title: Cornmeal-Rice Patties Categories: Main dish, Mcdougall, Vegetarian Yield: 6 servings -formatted by S.Grabowski 1 c Cornmeal 1 c Water 4 tb Garbanzo (aka chickpea) flour 2 c Cooked brown rice Mix cornmeal and flour. Add 1 cup boiling water. Stir to mix well and water is absorbed. Add the cooked rice. Moisten hands with water. Using about 1/2 cup of mixture, flatten it into a patty with your hands. Place on a dry baking sheet. Repeat unt Helpful hints: Make 6 large or 8 small patties. Good with ketchup, gravy or sauces. I had thought they were not baked but fried, which is why I haven't made them yet - lol. That will teach me to pass on a recipe without reading it fully first.
