Guest guest Posted January 21, 2005 Report Share Posted January 21, 2005 Egg Foo Young Source: Clear Creek Kitchen 1 tsp. Onion Powder 1 tsp. Garlic Powder 1 tsp. Salt 3/4 c. Water 2 c. Mungo Beans (soaked over night) 1 tsp. Beef Flavored Seasoning (Bernard Jensen's) 1 c. Bean Sprouts 1 c. Green Onions 1/2 c. Mushrooms (fresh, sliced) 1/2 c. Carrots (shredded) 1/4 c. Bell Peppers (cut into strips) Soak mungo beans (about 1 1/2 cups dried) in water over night. Drain and rinse. Blend the mungo beans, water, and seasonings well and pour into a large bowl. Add the bean sprouts, green onions, mushrooms, carrots, and bell pepper. Lightly oil a fry pan. Pour into patty shapes and cook well to a golden color before turning over. Turn over and cook to a golden color. Serve with Mushroom Gravy for " Egg " Foo Young. " He who has a thousand friends has not a friend to spare.
