Guest guest
Hello, I have celiacs (undiagnosed,) but I have symptoms of Lupus and Sjogren's. I have gotten a lot better since going GF. Then I eat the wrong food because some dodo customer service rep swears to me that an item is GF. My doc says I am going to be diagnoses with Lupus and Sjogren's, but I have gotten a lot better since he said that. My niece and two nephews are all diagnosed with celiacs. Wouldn't you know it, but I have also had weight loss surgery. So I need a high-protein diet. Finding out which foods are gluten free is not as easy as it appears when customer service representatives cannot read their computer screens. My protein powder IS gf (Designer Whey,) but the bars I was eating were not. The customer service rep told me they were. My niece said to double check it, and I found out that customer service rep was wrong. Trader Joes, huh? I went there and they told me that their pound chocolate WAS gf, so I bought it. I checked it at home once I got into their site for the first time and found out that it is NOT gf. The Outback, huh? You think they are gf as well? I went there and ordered the Caeser salad. I said GF and saw them write it down. They brought me a salad with croutons. I complained. The owner made it again for me. I know this is all really expensive, but I don't know if there is any way to get the costs down. The rest of my family is NOT gf, so that helps with the expense somewhat. But I also have to stick to a high protein diet so that is also more money. I am really frustrated right now. I hope this all is not beyond me. I just hope I can do it. But how can I do it when dodos tell me over the phone that their products are GF and then OOPS, they are wrong. They misread the computer screen.
