Guest guest
TANK U VETTY MUCH!!!!! I was in my bosses office when she was explaining to the lady coordinating the meeting and the arrangements for everyone flying in and my boss was desperately trying to explain vegan to her. Because they are having the meeting in a hotel, so most of our meals will be during the meeting, she needs to adjust fer me. So she is sitting there saying " no animal products at all " and then I hear no, where does butter come from no, none at all, nothing well, they can use olive oil no, no chicken either.... and so on, and so on by the end my boss and I were pretty much rolling on the floor laughing why don't people get this? so I am sure I will be doing many a speal over cocktails explaining this for the week nikki , EBbrewpunx@c... wrote: > took me less then 2 hrs to fly from JFK (NYC) to chicago, so, probably a lil over 2 hrs to beantown....depends...shorter flights often take a mite longer then ya would think cuz the planes don't get up to cruisin speed/altitude... > > > oh, and here ya go nikki > > http://cuisinenet.com/info/?v=237 & /Boston_Cambridge/rest/2902.shtml > http://members.aol.com/docvegan/clife/ > http://www.happycow.net/north_america/usa/massachusetts/boston/ > http://www.vegetarianusa.com/city/Boston.html > " nikki_mackovitch " <nikkimack@m...> wrote: > >

Well, it's very tricky, what with all those butter trees and chicken bushes sprouting up all over the place ;-) BB Peter --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
hello nikki, all . . I am from Boston. From the Georgia, it takes roughly 2.5 hours. It is also about 975 miles I think, have a wonderful time if you haven't been before. It is a beautiful city. I am going back there on the 22nd for T-Day. Be prepared for a lot of wind even when they say it isn't windy, it is always windy in the city. Guest guest
Thx Fraggle! That's what I was thinking too. I figure with the " I'm allergic " approach, they won't get careless or lazy and decide " Ah well, she'll never know " . Actually I am looking forward to this alot. Will be the first time I am away so much being vegan. It will definately be a new experience! nikki , EBbrewpunx@c... wrote: > > well..good luck and have fun!! > make sure you ask again when you arrive, as people tend to " make mistakes " ... > but..if a mistake happens, and you accidentily eat something..whoops..calmly explain to the staff there wot is up > i've found the " i'm allergic " or, " its against my religion " works wonders fer those who have a problem understanding > > have fun > cheers > fraggle > >
Guest guest
Good Morning Peter! Yes, actually my boss is pretty cool! She is a lot like me too which scares me because I can be a bi*** too! LOL But, we really get a long and she has a very open mind. I'm actually quite lucky me thinks. Ya know, I keep using my homemade organic weed killers on them damn bushes and it doesn't seem to be working! nikki , " Peter " <Snowbow@b...> wrote: > Hi Nikki > > > So she is sitting > > there saying " no animal products at all " and then I hear > > no, where does butter come from > > no, none at all, nothing > > well, they can use olive oil > > no, no chicken either.... > > It's good that your boss understands! > > > why don't people get this? > > Well, it's very tricky, what with all those butter trees and chicken bushes > sprouting up all over the place ;-) > > BB > Peter > > > --- > Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.417 / Virus Database: 233 - Release 08/11/
Guest guest
Hi Nikki I think it is because they don't associate the food 'product' with the living animal - it's the only reason I can think. It has never occurred to them that you could eat anything else! Guest guest
Hi Jo! I think you are absolutely right! People are so use to the " normal " way of eating that they never consider an alternative. It is their accepted practice. Not once giving thought to what they are actually consuming. nikki , " Peter " <Snowbow@b...> wrote: > Hi Nikki > > I think it is because they don't associate the food 'product' with the > living animal - it's the only reason I can think.
