If you're still worried, you can make your own extract with a vanilla bean and a bottle of potato vodka. ygg
Guest guest
Hi Desiree, I hope you find the improvement you seek with your son. I have 2 boys, 12 and 14, both autistic and have been gf/cf and vegetarian for several years. Tofu Pups (hot dog-ish) by Lightlife are ok.they are veggie and gf/cf at any rate. I think they taste awful.but the boys love them :-) For vanilla, we use frontier brand. And nutritional yeast is gluten free and is a really nice flavoring for " cheese " recipes. Welcome.you'll find tons of recipes :-) Lisa _____
Guest guest
Hi there & Welcome, I believe Brewer's yeast is one of the few GF nutrional yeasts, as it is cultured on sugar beets. Also Red Star baking yeast is GF, but that is not the same as nutrional yeast. My son is 4.5 years old too & I have twin 2 years old, we are also GF/DF & vegetarian. I have been fortunate that behavior wise they do not appear in the autistic or add spectrum, though I defintely see some behaviors being related to nutrional imbalances in their bodies. There is a wealth of information out there & a so much to process, hope we can support each other:) Welcome! -Azalyne --- daisyblue_23 <daisyblue_23 wrote: > > Hi, > I'm new to the list and am just thrilled to be able > to have these > recipes, it's been so hard to find anything along > these lines for my > son. Guest guest
Have you looked at the Feingold diet site? And just as a thought, many researchists are now categorizing ADHD as a part of the autistic spectrum of disorders. There is tones of information on autism and diet. BL On that note, I was wondering if any of you could also give me some advice. i have a friend with a 5 yr old boy that was diagnost with ADHD and Bipolar. He is a very high anxiety child and can be violent. I am trying to get what information I can for her about how nutrition can make a big difference. If you have any links please let me know.
