Guest guest
I made the " Buttermilk Loaf " bread recipe (from the files) into French Sticks today. I doubled the recipe and made two sticks in my French Stick pan. (I've had the pan for over a year and this is the first time I've used it.) The one change I made to the recipe was to allow the bread to rise in a warm oven before baking it. The texture was wonderful, and it didn't taste to bad either. Oh, and I topped them with sesame seeds before I put them in the oven to rise. It was really nice with " Crock Pot Minestrone " (from the files too) for dinner. The minestrone took a little longer to cook than the recipe stated, but it was great for a lazy Sunday dinnner. I'll add some cooked pasta to it and we'll have it for dinner tomorrow night too. I posted a picture of the French Sticks in photos if anyone is interested Kim.
