Please realize that I had a gastric bypass which creates malabsorption. I do not digest all of the protein that I take in. Also, I had no idea (at the time) that I had celiacs or would develop it one day. Yes, I know it is dangerous to leave out veggies and fruits as many atkinarians practice. There has to be a way for me to find a balance. I already drink Designer Whey protein powder every day. That is definitely gluten free. Many people think that when I say " high protein " that I immediately mean " low-carb " as well. That is not the case. I could not live without my stir fry, my fruit, and my baked potatoes.
