Guest guest
Nina, are you looking for bread recipes that are gluten-free? Our options are so limited. . .but I know that some list members have had pretty good success with some that they've tried. ~ LaDonna ~ >>>I am looking for two great bread recipes. I know there a tons in the archives but I really need something from someone who has tried lots of recipes and really have a favorite. I am looking for something that is a hefty multigrain, healthy, bread like the expensive bread stores carry (but without a lot of nut pieces in it) and also a recipe for a more squishy bread..like maybe the whole wheat breads in a bag at the grocery store. If you have already posted the recipe that you would like to recommend, just let me know what the name of the recipe is and i'll look it up in the archives. I greatly appreciate this!! Aso, if you have a fun unique bread recipe, I would love to have it as well! TIA, Nina
Guest guest
It definitely has to be GF. As long as it is vegetarian, vegan is optional. Guest guest
Montina bread makes a great flavor, great color and great texture gluten-free bread. The mix is at this link--the recipe is on the bag. http://www.amazinggrains.com/index.aspx? Jo Anne - Nina Tuesday, August 17, 2004 3:27 PM Re: looking for bread recipe It definitely has to be GF. Guest guest
Hi Nina, All the bread recipes I use are on this website. http://www.anzwers.org/free/gfcf/breadindex.html My son's favourite is the multigrain. I often add more seeds than the recipe states. The recipes are all vegan (except the easy hot cross buns) but the egg option is given for a few. Guest guest
Kim, Thank you very much for your help! But now I have a new question, I have about 8 different flours in my house, but no rice flours...any suggestions on what to replace brown and white rice flour with? Just to let you know, I have: -cornstarch -potato starch -amaranth -arrowroot -soy -teff -sorghum -rice bran Thanks, Nina , " Kim " <bearhouse5@h...> wrote: > Hi Nina, > > All the bread recipes I use are on this website. > > http://www.anzwers.org/free/gfcf/breadindex.html > > My son's favourite is the multigrain. Guest guest
Nina, I have used sorghum to replace the white rice flour before. It changes the taste a bit but seems to work fine. I have also used all types of flour to make up the difference when I'm running short on ingredients with varying results, but most have been reasonably good and quite edible.
