Guest guest
Nina- I am with you. I have not eaten Indain food either. I am unsure I guess how to serve it. I know that sounds silly, but really I get a recipe and say, oh, that sounds really good. But I wonder what else to serve with it and how to do it. SO I never try it. I am sure I am missing out on some really good food. Amy L Nina wrote: >Ok so there are postings like crazy on this list of Indian food, so this is the perfect time to post this. I have always been scared to try Indian food...the smell doesn't even get me going and i LOVE food! My mom always said she hated curry and I've just never had the balls to try it. But, I hear from so many people how awesome it is. SO, here is my question. I am wanting to try a simple basic Indian recipe to start off with. Keeping in mind that I can't handle spicy food, is there a recipe I can try? Please be sure to let me know where to get any unfamiliar ingredients. > >Thanks so much!! >-Nina > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Nina Not everything Indian is made with curry. Why not try something like keer (indian rice pudding) or pakora vegetables (vegetables in a chana flour coating then deep fried in a pan like a wok). These things are not spicy. I am sorry to say I haven't time to look for recipes because we are on the road everyday right now with the business, but if you do a google search with these parametres (+recipes +indian -curry) I bet you find lots and lots of good recipes.
