Guest guest
Greetings everyone! Elchanan and I enjoyed our last teleconference so very much, and we are very grateful for and encouraged by the many enthusiastic comments shared by those who participated. So, I've scheduled teleclass #3, and again I've invited Elchanan to join as guest teacher. As before, our goal is simple: to share from our own success, so that others may experience similar success. Over time, we hope to foster and nurture, along with others, a healthful and uplifting sense of connection and community with all who choose to share together in this way. We will not be selling anything, no books, tapes, workshops, or anything else. Unless you ask us to do so, we will not store your name or email address anywhere (except perhaps our spam whitelists). If you wish us to add your name and email address to our teleconference mailing list, please feel free to let us know in your RSVP message or at any other time. This is simply a gift we wish to share with anyone who wishes to receive it. DATE: Wednesday evening, July 26 TIME: 8:30 PM EDT/5:30 PM PDT DURATION: Approx. 90 minutes FORMAT: Presentation & interactive discussion, followed by open Q & A COST: FREE MAX PARTICIPANTS: 96 RSVP: RSVP <http://health.Rawschool/post?postID=StmMfVaGLIgb\ QpKdJkH9dNFFeqbSjSitgHNhKFC-7hybDC9AXqoR0F1ARkr3-LlEPSJBoLRDoz9lhDbHAvq3\ > (NOT via the , please) (in case ate the above it's: " RSVP @ PathOfHealth dot org " only remove the spaces and change " dot " to a period.) THEME: " Eat to live! " Followed by Q & A on any reasonable topic :) DESCRIPTION Eating should just be a " given " in life. It should be easy, requiring no " discipline " or other force used against oneself. Yet, particularly for beginners, and sometimes also for those more experienced, the raw food world can seem a confusing place. Various teachers offer quite different, and often mutually incompatible, guidelines for eating and transitioning. Equally daunting, many people lack the background in the sciences to easily distinguish the " best " information to adopt and internalize. As a result, many people give up, and many more spend an inordinate amount of time and energy seeking out bits of energy from the far corners of the raw food world. Meanwhile, not one animal in Nature of which we are aware experiences such challenges or pursues such an inquiry. Our purpose here is straightforward: to help others experience and enjoy eating as simply, naturally, and easily as do other species. Toward this end, we will share a unified, coherent, well-organized, and simple approach to eating and living successfully on a raw, vegan diet. We will provide some basic background about human nutrition: What are our most essential nutrients? Our answer, we hope, will surprise you and stimulate your curiosity, your desire to learn more. Based upon this information, we will address the question, " What type of foods, and what specific foods, would form an easy foundation upon which to build a successful, sustainable diet? " We will talk about the " nuts and bolts " of raw eating, addressing several " little things " that can make each and every day flow comfortably and smoothly—timing, a few food combining tips, etc. And of course, we will respond to whatever questions people wish to pose. We gratefully acknowledge Geoff Shortland of Brisbane, Australia for suggesting that we address this subject matter.
