Guest guest
Hi, I made baked tofu yesterday, it came out really good. 1 brick extra firm tofu. Freeze the tofu. Defrost the tofu then press the tofu. This gives the tofu some texture so it is not mushy. I wrapped the tofu in some paper towels placed it on a plate to catch the liquid, placed a cutting board on top of it and then used my daughters biology and history text books for weights. Pressed the tofu for about an hour. Unwrapped the tofu and sliced it into 1/4 in slices. Mixed up some Soy Sauce with a little bit of oil, some ground ginger, garlic powder and black pepper, and some water, poured it over the tofu and mirniated it for an hour or so. Baked at 350 degrees after 20-25 minutes turned the tofu over and continued baking another 20-25 minutes It came out really good. My daughter said next time we make it she will use it for sandwiches. This time we cut it into little cubes and added to miso soup. Eat and enjoy
