TV 2 cups Black-eyed Peas (pre-soaked) 6 cups water 3 Tbsp. beef-style flavored seasoning (gf) 1 tsp. wheat free tamari or Bragg's Liquid Aminos 2 tsp. salt 2 cloves garlic, chopped 2 cups chopped onion 1 cup chopped green pepper 1 bay leaf Combine in large pot and simmer, uncovered, for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. After simmering, add to pot: 2 1/2 cups water 1 cup wild and/or brown rice 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper Cook, covered, for 45 minutes.
