Guest guest
i have been reading some of the entries and have seen people mentioning trouble with sugar. does everyone with celiac have trouble with sugar? i have never been diagnosed with celiac disease. i was told i was " allergic to gluten. " so i asked my doctor, " does that mean i have celiac disease? " and he just said some thing like " pretty much. " my food issues are multiple, and i am allergic to the world around me in every way. but when i can keep my eczema relatively under control i find myself eating ice cream and other sugar treats, and then wind up miserable. like today. but my real intent here is to learn why some other people are avoiding sugar, to see if there is something more i can learn about this condition. thanks! Guest guest
Some sugar is not vegan. It is possible that some white sugar has been filtered through bone char and that is why some people avoid it. Other people find that refined sugar is not healthy for them and affects them in different ways, especially if they have a candidis overgrowth due to anti-biotic usage. From the sound of your reaction to foods with sugar, candidis is a reasonable possibility. Guest guest
For our family, We advoid sugar because it is a refined food, and is harmful to our bodies and has a highly addivctive effect. It also altures our moods, how we feel and think. I am sure I could write a book on it, but am to busy to go on. Just thought I would write a quick thought on it. Guest guest
My body does not react well to sugar. I am not sure why, but it seems I can't handle either extreme - sugar or salt. I do not have celiac disease, but do have a sensitivity to gluten. So I guess I am curious as well - is it just an individual thing? Everyone's body is unique and has different tolerances? Or is there something scientific here?
