sweet rice flour???

Sweet rice flour is a wonderful thickener. I use it

in sauces, gravy's, and stews. It is also used in

flour combinations for baking. I've seen it on

ingredient lists from GF cookies and pancake mixes.

It's made from sweet, or glutinous (don't be scared

there's no actual gluten involved) rice which absorbs

water very quickly.

I have also seen it used to create dim sum wrappers

for Chinese dumplings.

Hope this helps.

hmm thank Tom,

yes, that helps... does it sweeten your gravies at all?? would you use

it sort of like cornstarch??

the box says it's good for things that will be frozen as well, so I was

thinking it could be used like cornstarch in a pudding type recipe,

then i'd freeze that for a soy ice cream dessert!

do you happen to have a dim sum wrapper recipe?? =)

Thanks again!

=)

Do you have the dim sum wrapper recipe by any chance? My husband and I used

to make homemade potstickers...boy do I miss those.

Thanks!
