Guest guest
Well, hon, I'm sorry your weight is up, but I do so wish you hadn't capped that with mentioning a pub lunch. So many of us would like to be able to do that now and then, but we care for our health and our weight and try not to do so. You made me think of all the lovely vegan food you can (sometimes) get when out, although it's too high in fats and sugar to be healthy. Not nice. Doesn't your pub have nice fresh salads? All the ones I've gone to in your part of the country have them. Now _that_ would really inspire us, you know? The idea that someone who had somehow gained a lot of weight on a slimming regimen (!) goes out to lunch with friends but keeps to (what was once) his or her healthy eating style. Why not give it a try? You've nothing to lose but pounds of unneeded fat! I'm also shattered Ota (which is why I haven't been posting much!) - so true to form ...... I stopped tracking and eating *sigh* I plan on going to the pub for lunch today (and possibly tomorrow!), so I will start afresh on the " tracking chain " on Tuesday, my weight is the highest it has been in year (nearly 22 stone again!) - I plan to spend today (after the pub!) responding to various mails that I have saved, catching up on blogs (both writing and reading!) and thinking how to get myself back on track. If you happen to be around today Ota .........? Guest guest
Oh I see, Dragon! Well, obviously you have to eat something Tell you what: you do what you need to do to maintain your weight but just don't tease me with pub lunches, okay?? LOL They would be the end of weight maintenance for me and for many others too, I guess. We can nearly smell our used-to-be fave foods over the net! Give us a break, okay? We need support for weight loss and weight maintenance as well as good health, not temptation to break out and eat the way some of us got into trouble in the first place! That's what this group is about: support for us all. You have our support too, of course, and you know that from the way you keep writing us about your adventures on the scale But think of the rest of us sometimes too - not everyone has to fight anorexia, although I feel for those who do, of course. I doubt, however, they'd be on this group - quite the wrong one for them. But how, now that I think of it, is this group helping to support you? I do wonder. You call yourself an overweight anorexic (surely a contradiction in terms, eh? You're joking, I realize.) at 308 pounds, but if your problem is to eat enough calories in a day, then this really isn't quite your ticket is it? I mean, we talk about eating smaller portions, eating low fat, eating more sensibly, eating good food in order to cut the calories and ultimately, because that's how it works for most people, to lose weight (or for those who have lost it, to maintain weight loss). Have you thought of trying to find a specialized group for people with your problem? I'm not suggesting you leave here - you are most welcome now and always have been - but I don't think we are providing what you need. *shrug* Anyway, all the best. I'll be thinking of you at lunchtime as I munch my salad etc. Take care. Guest guest
I used to be like that--not eating when stressed, but I was skinny then--25 years and 75 pounds in the past. How can you stay overweight if you don't eat? I tell dh that it's his fault I'm overweight because he's given me such a good life.
