Guest guest
Amy, I do use vinegar in my rise cycle, and since learning about it on this group I wash the laundry in salt instead of detergent. I have 1/2 a box of dryer sheets in the laundry room as a mental security blank for dh. Dh is really freaked out by change, especially for the sake of " health " , so I keep the 1/2 box sitting there so he doesn't have a panic attack. It's been over a year since the last time I used one, and I can definitely smell it if on people who do use fabric sheets. I don't have any cheese in the house, so next time I am around it I will make a point of taking a sniff! ;-) Leah Amy Madsen <amy wrote: I'm with you.. It seems that most " food " that people eat smells rancid to me. The worst smell for me right now is cheese - any kind. :shudder: If the dryer sheets smell strong - and you still want to use them, try putting them in half - or even quarters. You'll still get the softness in your laundry. Better yet, put some vinegar in your washing machine - works great as a fabric softener. I think mine is more sensitive. The smell of fried food is horrible, but even things like the fabric softener dyer sheets and my husband's cologne. Maybe it's just me, but my nose has been on high alert for a while. Weird, huh? Leah Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less.
