Guest guest
here's something to contemplate... when you take a piece of meat...and don't spice it with whatever your tastes are accustom to adding...you'll probably find that the meat will not have the taste you normally expect...remember in your western civilization classes when spices were introduced to europe, the consumption of meat products skyrocketed...because it tasted good and could be preserved better...see there was some of those history classes that are now useful... the same is true of tofu...spice it and you can get a wide variety of tastes...very few cook books (or cooks) talk about doing this as a regular process...but all you need to do is follow the logic of spicing meats...put the spices you'd use on chicken or whatever...and guess what...that's close to how the tofu will taste... also, how you cook the tofu matters as well... david (oh, and you thought guys didn't know how to cook, huh?) Guest guest
Hi Vanessa, It's so important, isn't it, that family be supportive of one's lifestyle. Frankly, I can't think of one good reason not to be supportive of vegetarians and vegans, with all the good news there is out there these days about the healthiness of the lifestyle (which is what is probably bothering some). Well my dear if you do all the cooking then WOW you rare in control of the kitchen and you get to do what you want, eh? (Oh, within reason of course LOL) Please post often hear - we love to hear from our members including new ones - it keeps us happy and keeps us going! Guest guest
Welcome Vanessa, I have to ask ‹ how does Anastasia get along with the rats? Guest guest
Anastasia steers clear of the rats. Their cages are huge, and some sit fairly close to the floor. When Anastasia first arrived, she was very curious and made the mistake of gently putting her paw up to touch one of the boys through the wire. She was nipped on the toe, and now only watches from a safe distance on the couch. When the rats are out freeranging, I don't take any chances, Anastasia is locked away in the bedroom. --- On Fri, 4/10/09, Coop <rodstruelove wrote: > Coop <rodstruelove > Re: Hello Everyone! > " " > Received: Friday, April 10, 2009, 7:48 PM > Welcome Vanessa, > > I have to ask ‹ how does Anastasia get along with the > rats? > > Anna > > > On 11/4/09 2:48 AM, " Vanessa " <hollyivy1969 > wrote: > > > > I have been involved in animal rescue for most of my > life, and for the last > > decade I have concentrated on domestic rat > rescue. Currently I have 18 little > > ones - 17 boys and 1 spayed girl. I also have a > pussycat named Anastasia. > > > >
