Guest guest Posted April 19, 2005 Report Share Posted April 19, 2005 WALNUT LOAF OR PATTIES Mix in a bowl: 4 cups fresh gluten freebread crumbs 2 cups cooked brown rice 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped 1/2 cup sunflower seeds 1 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp basil 1 tsp garlic powder OR 4 cloves fresh garlic, crushed Whiz in blender: 1/2 cups water 1 cup onion chunks 1/2 cup soy flour (or fava/garbanzo bean flour) Add wet ingredients to the dry and stir together. Firmly pack into oven dish, bake at 180C/350F for 1 - 1 1/2 hours. VARIATIONS: Make patties, meat balls or use in stuffed capsicum. Serve with tomato sauce, gravy or spaghetti sauce.
